Sino - NZ Tourism Group Ltd and i'an Travel Service
Our company, Sino-New Zealand Tourism Group Limited, is a newly formed strategic alliance (joint venture) of highly experienced industry people geared towards developing and nurturing opportunities in the Tourism sector of both countries. While our head office is in New Zealand, our immediate focus is China and to this end we are developing tours that are both flexible and culturally enriching. We were established as a company in 2006 though our partners and staff have been operating in China for more than 10 years. We have since experienced rapid growth in large part due to our service ethos which is now highly regarded globally
The first phase of our development saw us set up a small, centrally located hostel in Xi'an (Hqhostel) which is currently undergoing expansion. In the last year we established ourselves as one of the most sought after budget accommodations in Xian while also becoming a premium provider of comprehensive travel services around Xian including tours (both hi end and budget), guides, flights, transportation, translation, business conferences and functions. Further a field we arrange Yangtze River Cruises in the 5 star, 4 star and budget range. For phase 1, our target market was the backpacker whom are arriving in China in ever greater numbers (our estimates are that this market is increasing at around 10% annually with a surge expected this year), and already more than 1,000,000 foreign visitors experience Xi'an yearly. Phase 1 also saw the creation of our trade arm which specialises in the sale of Life size Terracotta Warrior statues around the world
We are now pushing hard into phase 2. Due to increased demand for high end services in particular 5 star accommodation and corporate travel management solutions, we have expanded our operation to embrace the opportunities that these clients offer. Beginning with a vigorous marketing campaign to set the stage, we brought new ideas to an industry in need of rejuvination and quickly seized a substantial share of the market. We have established a reputation based on excellence and are known internationally for outstanding service and attention to detail. Our clients are both international and Chinese customers and repeatedly praise the superb solutions that we offer specifically tailored to their needs.
Phase 3 of our operation involves setting up offices with the intention of tapping into the Chinese market and assisting Chinese at all levels to experience New Zealand. To this end we are currently in discussions with the New Zealand government in order to obtain funding, which is in line with their own objectives of expanding the NZ tourism brand to the orient.
